Molecular Archaeology Group – Student Association (MAGSA) was created to cultivate awareness and interest in molecular archaeology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. We work to bring the hard sciences together with the social sciences and the humanities to explore the past. Our parent organization: Molecular Archaeology Group is an elite group of faculty who work on cross disciplinary questions to explore the past through both cultural and scientific study.
We are open to undergraduate & graduate students of all disciplines with an interest in interdisciplinary research. The main activity will include inviting guest speakers from the UW campus and elsewhere to discuss advancements in the field of molecular archaeology. In addition, there will be opportunities to network with professionals in the field, and engage in unique undergraduate research with the labs available on campus.
